As a Mother of 4, my weight fluctuates A LOT! I am a short and curvy woman, I have never been what some consider to be ‘skinny’. I would look at pictures of women on t.v or online, compare myself to them and think “what is their secret?” or “why don’t diets work for me but they do for others?” It is a daily choice to love yourself and you will have moments where you have to remind yourself that you are unique and beautiful in your way. It took me years to realize that diets don't work unless you have the correct mindset. If you want to lose weight, it starts in your mind. If you compare yourself to others, you will never be truly happy. We are all different, it's like comparing yourself to a unicorn. They are beautiful but can you ever look like one? No, you can’t. Why? Because they are completely different from you. its the same as comparing yourself to your neighbor. We all have different genetics, metabolisms, diets, bone structure, sleep patterns, and exercise routine (if any). You can’t be exactly like someone else so you have to learn to accept yourself for who you are, and love ourselves, inside and out. It sounds cliche but how badly do you want to change? I know it is easier said than done but if you take it a day at a time, you will get there with determination and a positive mindset. Below is a list of tips to help you get off to a great start to weight loss and loving yourself. These are very simple and summed up as short as possible. What is the law of attraction?
Simply put, the law of attraction is a law of the universe that you can use to attract whatever you desire to yourself through your thoughts. I love the movie the Secret, I would highly recommend reading the book or watching the movie. The movie is on Netflix if you are more of a visual learner. All of our thoughts have a frequency, so if we are thinking negative thoughts, we attract the same low vibrational, negative events, items, and circumstances. The law of attraction changed my life, the moment I learned what it was and how I could implement it into my life. It took time and dedication, but once I realized how powerful thoughts are, I knew I had to completely change the way I thought about everything! For example, one of the best ways to understand how the law of attraction works is to picture a genie on your shoulder responding to every thought that goes through your mind. When you think to yourself " I am so fat, I am broke, this always happens to me, I always attract the wrong partners" your genie says " your wish is my command" The universe responds to every one of our thoughts, whether it be positive or negative. Look around you, your surroundings are a physical manifestation of your thoughts. What are you currently manifesting?
How You Can Use the Law of Attraction to Lose Weight?
I believe this to be the most effective way to lose weight. Not the easiest, but effective. The process of reprograming your mind is something that starts from the moment you wake up in the morning, to when you fall asleep at night. Start with waking up and thinking about how grateful you are for everything. I say in my mind as I wake up and make coffee, I am grateful for the air conditioner I hear, the running, clean water, my coffee, and of course my children. Keep it going all day, if you have a negative thought, it's ok! We all do! The trick is to catch it and focus your thoughts on something good. If you get in a fender bender on your way to work, be grateful you were not injured! If you are behind on bills, be grateful that it "always works out and money is on its way" and of course, the purpose of this article. Replace "I am on a diet I can't eat this or that " with "I eat what I want in moderation and never gain any weight!"

Throw Away Scale
I haven't weighed myself since I learned of the law of attraction. The only person who knows my weight is my Doctor! I never, ever weigh myself. I have an idea of what I weigh, but not the exact weight. Focusing on your daily weight puts so much unnecessary stress on you. Instead of basing your self-value on your weight, think about "how do I feel?" You will find you lose more weight when you quit monitoring it every day!
Set Goals and Call in Angels
I always call in and assign an angel or Archangel to every goal I make. Angels love to help us in any way they can we just have to ask! For this example, I will use Archangel Chamuel, Archangel Raphael, Archangel Michael, and Archangel Jophiel. Call on Archangel Raphael to send you healing wherever it is needed, whether it be mentally, physically, or spiritually. Also ask him to join you when you go to the grocery store and guide you to healthy, affordable foods. It works! Archangel Chamuel will assist you with decision making, to guide you to make healthier choices, and life-changing decisions. Archangel Michael is wonderful to call on for strength and confidence. Remember you need to visualize success first. A wonderful quote I use a lot is "fake it till you make it". Archangel Michael will bring you the confidence you need to get where you need to be. A lot of overeating is due to stress, and pain. A good way to get to the root of the cause is to ask Archangel Jophiel and Archangel Michael to clear you and your home of all negative influences, situations, people, energies or entities that cause you stress and pain and replace it with positive events, circumstances, and energy. Archangel Jophiel is wonderful to call on to bring you confidence as well and see the beauty in everything including in yourself.
The fastest and easiest way I set weight loss goals is to scroll through my old Facebook or Instagram photos. I pick the picture I felt the most beautiful, when I looked happiest, and I print it out and put it where I will see it every day. Even as your background to your phone. You need to have somewhere to start and I think its best to use my own body as opposed to someone else. Then as I continue my day, I act as if that is the way I look, I feel the happiness I felt. If I had a beautiful golden tan, I use self-tanner! I dress in the same colors. Put yourself there.
Positive affirmations are like magic! I love to write my own. I take all my negative thoughts and flip them into a positive affirmation. For example, when you say to yourself "I am fat" I replace that with "I lose weight effortlessly and I glow from the inside out" This is a very powerful exercise that should be used every day. If you don't want to write your own, positive affirmations are easy to find online. Pinterest is one of my favorites.
